Since the introduction of Sylar in the NBC hit-series "Heroes," a heated debate has surfaced. The question lingering:"Is Sylar eating brains?"
After reading the information on this website, it will become clear that Sylar is in fact eating brains, despite all of the naysayers out there.
The naysayers and critics have spoken, and the reviews are unanimous!
The information on this website is clearly mindblowing, too much for some.
"seriously delusional"
"Oh my."
"speechless..."
What truly is logic? Who decides reason? My quest has taken me to the physical, the metaphysical, the delusional, and back.
One thing is for certain, we are definitely getting close to the truth.
I did not want to speak out too early, but given recent events I feel it's safe to announce that I have been asked to support the Petrelli Campaign.
Still undecided.
Sylar Eats Brains! (here is the list of proof)
- First, there is the interview with Zachary Quinto where the question is asked,
"Q: Do you think he's eating the brains?"
with the answer from Sylar:
"A: I think that is a strong possibility and I'll leave it at that." - Next, is an interview with Heroes writer, Bryan Fuller where he states
"...what we've always talked about in the writing staff was that he kills people and he eats their brains..." audio clip - There is also the statement Sylar makes in reference to the list of people with abilities: "[can't wait to] sink my teeth in"
- Another hint at Sylar's brain-eating ways is the comment Molly makes: "the boogieman ... eats your brain." - (update! May 22, 2007) In the season finale, Molly once again referred to Sylar directly as the boogieman, clearing up any confusion of Sylar being the boogieman who eats brains.
- This brings us to our most convincing piece of evidence - Sylar's medical reports as seen on Primatech internal documents, stating that he has a triglyceride count of 527 and an LDL count of 242. The normal levels for an average person are <200 triglycerides and <30 LDL. These are fat and cholesterol levels that would kill a normal person instantly, if it were possible (which it isn't). However, the human brain is roughly 3 pounds of nothing but saturated fat and water. Someone who had a regular diet of brains would most certainly have the triglyceride and LDL levels to show it.
Season 2
This list is under heavy revision, check back for more updates.- Season 2, Episode 6: After fighting with Alejandro, Sylar (aka Gabriel) says
"I know you don't understand me, but I want to tell you why I'm helping you. It's that delicious power. ...when I get my ability back, I'm going to kill you..."
Speculations are still running wild, despite the Writer's Strike.
Right now, Sylar is without his powers, which begs to question... why? The last thing that happened to Sylar, was a near-fatal wound to the stomach! by Hiro.
Clearly, there is a connection between Sylar's digestion system and his powers. The evidence could not be any clearer. More updates will be posted as they are discovered.

Season 3
Season 3, Episode 1: I appears that this website was getting too close, and the show had to take a quick turn, before being exposed. Sylar comes after Claire in what can only be described as a horror-movie dream-sequence, and removes the top of her skull. When he gets up close, Claire finally breaks the barrier and asks him outright: "Are you going to eat my brain?" Sylar looks taken back, and says, "That's disgusting."
At face value, this may seem to nullify the entire theory (which seems to be ridiculous, considering all of the evidence presented thus far) - however, upon further review there are subtle details that emerge. First of all, where did this scene take place? In a kitchen. Specifically, Claire was hiding in a pantry, which is defined as "a room where food, provisions or dishes are stored and served in an ancillary capacity to the kitchen. The derivation of the word is from the same source as the Old French term paneterie (Hayden Panettiere?); that is from pain, the French form of the Latin panis for bread."
- Yet another hint that this is out of the ordinary for Sylar (he usually eats the brain): As he leaves the house, Claire asks why he didn't kill her (eat her brain). He turns to Claire and says "You're different."
Season 3, Episode 2: Elle (Kristen Bell) goes to see her dad (founding member / acting director of "The Company") and says, "Dad, I've been thinking about it; We don't need to look for Sylar. He's on the hunt for powers? On level 5 he'd have an all you can eat buffet." Then she realizes his brains have been removed. Apparently he didn't find these brains as "disgusting" as Claire's?
So the question remains... is Sylar eating brains? All clues point to YES
